How long do elemental converters last

You can use that as a timer for EleCons. RCX's buff-timers one of the only features that still work I'd really just like a right-side timer, though. Community Forum Software by IP. Posted 06 August - AM I am a newb, and as such, didn't know the following: 1 When I use an elemental converter, why doesn't it show up as a "buff" icon on the right side?

In terms of speed, they move a little faster than Stasis Shards affected by Whisper of Conduction. Moving out of range will cause the Elemental Well to stop moving.

This mod affects allies too, even if they don't have the mod equipped. Since everyone gets their own instanced amount of Elemental Wells whenever you make them, this is a massive quality of life improvement for every player in your fireteam.

Keep in mind, Elemental Wells cannot ascend or descend, so you'll need to be grounded to pick up your Wells. However, Elemental Wells will gravitate under you if you're in the air, making it fairly easy to pick them up once you're grounded. Shieldcrash Wellmaker: Breaking a shield with the matching weapon type creates an elemental well. The Elemental Well is generated under the target that just had their shield destroyed. This mod pairs exceptionally well with Shield-Break Charge.

Supreme Wellmaker: Casting your Super spawns three Stasis elemental wells near you. Casting any Super will spawn three Stasis Wells beside you right when the Super activates. There's a good chance you'll consume one or two of the Wells while casting your Super. Stacking this mod through Bountiful Wells will only grant one additional Stasis Well per stack. Well of Ions: Picking up an Arc elemental well causes your next melee to deal increased damage. The buff will expire after ten seconds or until you use your melee attack.

This effect works on melee abilities and uncharged melee attacks. Melee-based Supers and Swords do not count. This mod buffs ranged melee abilities such as Celestial Fire. Grabbing multiple Arc Wells does not refresh the grace period on this buff. Well of Life: Picking up a Solar elemental well grants increased regeneration for a short period of time. The HP regen is slightly less than what Karnstein Armlets provide , regenerating a small amount of health per second.

Similar to Karnstein Armlets, the HP regen is uninterruptible. Grabbing multiple Solar Elemental Wells will refresh the duration's timer to ten seconds—higher if you're using Elemental Time Dilation. Pair this with damage resistance mods to drastically increase your character's survivability. Well of Ordnance: Picking up a Solar elemental well grants you additional grenade energy. Multiple copies of this mod increase this effect. Stacking this mod on your armor will increase the amount of grenade energy received.

Well of Restoration: Picking up a Stasis elemental well grants you additional energy for your ability that has the lowest energy. Well of Restoration is significantly stronger than it sounds on paper. That is not a typo: x4 Well of Restoration gives as much as x2. It's unknown when this bug will be fixed. Until then, don't use more than three copies of this mod.

Well of Striking: Picking up an Arc elemental well grants you additional melee energy. Well of Tenacity: Picking up a Void elemental well reduces the damage you take from combatants for a short period of time. Upon grabbing a Void Elemental Well, you'll gain the "Resist" buff for five seconds. It does not stack with Protective Light or The Stag. This mod has a unique interaction with The Stag and Protective Light. Both of these sources grant stacks of "Resist," each representing a stronger damage resistance effect.

When you grab a Void Well with this mod, if you have a Resist effect that's stronger than what this mod would grant, the duration of your strongest Resist buff gets refreshed instead. If Protective Light activates and you grab a Void Well, your Resist buff stays at x4 while its duration refreshes to 20 seconds—the buff's original duration.

This makes Well of Tenacity fantastic for maintaining Protective Light without needing constant Charged with Light stacks. Well of Utility: Picking up a Void elemental well grants you additional class ability energy. Stacking this mod will enhance this effect. This can be especially useful for Hunters that want to make a build centered around their Dodge ability, utilizing Bombardiers or similar Dodge effects. It could be argued that you could simply time each application with say an app on your phone , but uniquely to our situation here, the game's design and meta were to allow multi client use, often having most players create an endow sage much like they would a merchant..

This is something we do not wish to have here, therefore because of general availability of solo-provided endow in the meta, this may be the reason why a buff timer does not currently exist for converters as their design intention was not to replace endow. I'll admit, however, that this may be a presumptuous point. So to reiterate, this request is a quality-of-life change. It will not edit the game files in a way that would cause an immense impact on the way players interact with the game other than helping with items' efficiency by knowing when to properly reapply their scroll.

Thank you for your consideration. Post: 2. That can be possible, but I'd need to check on how exactly converters work as I don't remember by heart and see if it can be altered in this way. Post: 3. Yay for double post! It'll be just an icon to show you that you used converter, without element.

Any preferences? Sneak peek on first way:. Post: 4. Honestly just having a timer at-all achieves the purpose. Its fairly inefficient to overlap other converters, and users will want to be checking their skill bar, item info, and even color coding when using a converter -- not so much applying it and seeing which one it was from icon.

Still, option two looks better cosmetically. But that's about the only difference from my point of view.
